Do I need boxing experience?
No. Infants, juniors, recreational and ladies-focused training all welcome beginners. A coach will help you work at the right level.
How do I book my first session?
Call or WhatsApp the club on 07762 280 791. Tell us your age, experience and the class you are considering so we can confirm the best fit.
What should I wear?
Comfortable sportswear and trainers are ideal. Bring water and arrive around ten minutes early for your first visit.
Do I need to buy gloves before I come?
No. Training equipment is available, so you can start without purchasing a full kit. Your coach can advise later if you want your own equipment.
Training
Can I train without competing?
Absolutely. Recreational boxing focuses on proper technique and fitness without requiring competitive contact or bouts.
Will I have to spar?
No. Sparring is not an automatic part of beginner or recreational training. Coaches only introduce appropriate contact when it matches the boxer’s pathway, ability and readiness.
Which class is right for me?
Age is the starting point for children. Adults usually begin with recreational or ladies boxing. Competitive and carded sessions are coach-led pathways.
Can I book personal coaching?
Yes. One-to-one sessions are available by arrangement and can focus on technique, fitness, confidence or competitive preparation.
Prices & membership
Can I pay per session?
Yes. Infants and juniors are £6 per session, ladies-only boxing is £10, and recreational boxing is £15. Contact the club for other specialist sessions.
When should I choose monthly membership?
Monthly membership is best once you know the class suits you and you want to train consistently. New members can start with a drop-in.
Are class times ever changed?
Occasionally, particularly around club shows or holidays. Contact the club before your first visit and follow the social channels for current updates.
Parents & juniors
What age can children start?
Infants boxing is for ages 5–8. Junior sessions are for ages 9–15.
Is junior boxing suitable for a complete beginner?
Yes. Sessions are structured by experienced coaches and introduce technique, fitness and discipline progressively.
Does every junior have to compete?
No. Young people can train for fitness, confidence and enjoyment. A competitive pathway is available only when the boxer is ready and invited by the coaching team.
